Roses Rising: The Movement is a large-scale performance by Berlin-based artist Leila Hekmat that explores the dynamics of collective identity, political desire and performative protest. Bringing together live music, choreography and elaborate scenography, the work reflects on the aesthetics and contradictions of countercultural movements, emphasizing their relevance in the present.
It is presented in two parts in collaboration with HAU Hebbel am Ufer. After The Movement at Gropius Bau, created by Nora-Swantje Almes, the stage production The Dinner premiered at HAU1 on 15 April 2026.
