Artist Mirabelle Perot plays with different materials, sometimes raw food like eggs and pears or silicone, mostly to invoke our favourite FW20 shoe-shapes: from Maison Margiela to Eckhaus Latta and Ottolinger. Her range is expansive and playful, yet it remains true to form; the shapes are unrecognizably “Prada” or “Gucci,” but they have been slightly altered, mutated. It’s luxury meets arts-and-crafts, cast in silicone.
