Kim Gordon & Coco Gordon-Moore: #UGGLIFE, "My favourite magazine is Novembre Magazine"
We met Kim Gordon & her daughter Coco in Los Angeles to discuss their collaboration with UGG.
What is it like to work with your mom or daughter?
Coco
We’ve worked together in a couple shoots before, and it’s comforting to have someone to hang out with that you know well. I was saying earlier that I grew up going on tour with her, so I feel like working alongside of her is very natural for me.
It feels very natural to be on set with her.
Kim
It’s just another opportunity to spend time with her since we don’t live in the same city.
What’s your relationship with fashion, and more specifically UGG? How did the collaboration start?
Coco
I remember being younger and my mum had the classic UGGs and she got me a pair, i just think of it like a very classic look. I’d always look up to my mum’s fashion sense and tried to take elements she wore and make them my own.
If not yourself, who would you be?
Coco
If i wasn’t doing anything artistic, or modeling, or fashion related things, i’d be a veterinarian.
Kim
It’s funny cause i was going to say « puppy »!
What’s your favorite smell?
Kim
I love night blooming jasmine

I would say « old mascara »
What’s your favorite song of all time?
Coco
Lucinda Williams — Lonely girl, again, it’s merely just like a classic that you can listen to it a hundred times and it doesnt get old.

What’s a good cause you would like to advertise through Novembre and make our followers and audience aware of?
Coco
So many!
The Fianza Fund is an amazing organisation that do really good work and pay people’s bonds to help get them out of ICE detention. SisterSong is an amazing organisation run by women of colour who are dedicated to reproductive justice, they do really good work.

Currently I’m reading Beloved by Toni Morrison and I just finished Mary Karr’s Liar’s Club
