Concours de larmes by Marvin M'toumo

Concours de Larmes is the first fashion show of the brand and living art company of Marvin M'toumo presented at 3537 in Paris.

At the same time a disenchanted fashion show, a pessimistic tale and a depressed circus, he recounts in a succession of tableaux vivants the different tears that we encounter in our lives. These tears are sometimes discreet or noisy, played or overplayed, choreographed or sung, told or declared aloud.

The characters are sometimes sexy, sometimes straight out of a nightmare, as they are embodied through clothes and performance even in the dreamlike make up of Chaïm Vischel.

This mock competition brings together weeping performers, models, singers and dancers : Elie Autin, Vanessa Sindihebura, Davide Christelle Sanvee, Aminata Mbengue, Djamila imani Mavuela, Sokhna Cisse and Marvin M’toumo.

In an intimate scenography in the shape of a white egg, made up of veiling and carpeting, recalling the intimate presentations of Parisian haute couture, the public is caught up in the dance and sees a ballet of «weeping» characters. «The crybaby» walk beside «the increased pain», «temporary depressions», «the broken heart», «the demon of tears» or even the «worry flower» which were a bride in a corset dress full of white flower designed in collaboration with the florist Debaulieu.

You can see the show from May 4 to 7 at the Arsenic Lausanne and from May 11 to 16 at Le Grütli Geneva.
