This project is the idea of creating the old lady locker room using snapshots from the old woman’s universe with early 1900 iconography, mixed in a slightly unfinished, in process or as dilapidated garment condition. The ensemble is wanting itself as a black and white sweet but creepy rock’n roll nun wardrobe. The materials used will be wool, lace linked by sewing, crochet and embroidery.

« I’ve been working on this collection for 2 years now. It is a continuation of my Ado-folklo graduation project where I had started to root out the idea of the adolescent construction reappearing in adult life connected to the teenager's room as diary space. This new project is coming from the inspiration of a wardrobe and behavioral idea linked at first with the clichés of the women who have abandoned the idea of finding conventional love. I decided to personify this idea with this «old lady»; ultimately oriented towards herself and the thought of her obscure and mystical marriage with something maybe not human... Historically in France the women not married after a certain age are known under the name of Catherinettes (from St. Catherine). They have a celebration day deeply linked with the universe of fashion and needle craftsmanship. »
